The Alamo Square Neighborhood Association presents the 28th Annual Alamo Square Flea Market on Saturday, August 20, 2011.
The Alamo Square Flea Market features great vendors from the neighborhood and local artists, crafts people, and Do-It-Yourself-ers from Kelly Malone’s Indie Mart. Check out vintage items, antiques, art, and crafts from Alamo Square neighbors and local artisans. Vendors will surround the park on Fulton, Scott, and Hayes Streets from 9:00am to 3:00pm.
For the first time, Off The Grid is providing a street food from gourmet food trucks, and for the second year, the Creative Arts Charter School is creating a dedicated kid craft area featuring bubble painting, still-life drawing, and face painting on Grove Street near Scott Street.
Street closures include Scott Street between Fulton and Hayes Streets and Grove Street between Scott and Divisadero Streets with access for local traffic only.
28th Annual Alamo Square Flea Market Additional Facts
- ASNA Donations and Membership Booth will be on Scott Street at Grove Street steps.
- ASNA Raffle Tickets will be sold at the Membership Booth.
- Rocket Dog Rescue will be have dogs to adopt on Scott Street at Fulton Street.
- Workshop, a neighborhood space for DIY classes, will feature terrarium building, crafts, and cookie decorating.
The Alamo Square Flea Market is the Alamo Square Neighborhood Association’s biggest and oldest community event and fundraiser. It supports the maintenance of and improvements to the park that is our namesake and the preservation of the historic character of our neighborhood. It helps fund neighborhood safety, traffic calming, beautification projects, community socials in the park, and our bi-monthly newsletter. ASNA is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, and donations are tax deductible.
