Alamo Square, home of the Painted Ladies on Steiner Street (Postcard Row), is located in the Western Addition district of San Francisco. The scenic view of the Six Sisters, or Seven counting the larger house on the corner at Grove Street, has been captured countless times in photographs, on postcards, and famously in the opening credits of the television show Full House. The house referenced as the Tanners’ residence is nearby on Broderick Street.
The map above shows Alamo Square (dark green), ASNA boundaries (light green), hotels and accommodations (pink), and local grocery stores, restaurants, and nightlife (yellow). The sun symbols indicate the location of a Farmers Market on either Saturday or Sunday. View larger map for more details.
